Wow! Who saw this coming? What a year we’ve had with a global pandemic that no one has been witness to in modern times. (Except for Hilda Churchill who is the only known survivor of the Spanish Flu pandemic of 1918 and has sadly passed away during this pandemic at 108 years old.) The whole world was shut down for the best part of 6 months! How did you cope?
During these unprecedented times our mothers have had to wear so many hats in addition to the big hats they already have. Mums have had to adapt to new ways of taking care of their households; extra cleaning, extra sanitization, extra cooking, extra play time, extra nursing abilities to keep their homes and loved ones ‘protected’ and ‘safe’ The strain of all this has in no doubt had an effect in the way mums have had to put themselves last at everything even more than ever before because that's what mums do! Mums are selfless underrated heroes that don't often get the credit they deserve as their role is seen as one that should be innate and part and parcel of being a mum.
